Thanks Wood! I just pasted the photo code in and titled that's what I got. Just those three photos. The titles were lost too but that's OK. First two are HS and the third is travel with the Canes at Jupiter. Appriciate the compliment on my son. He turned down some generous offers from several schools including a certain in-town SEC program to attend and play at Winthrop.

Welcome to the Big South Conference! Your son will enjoy Winthrop. I have 2 players there now and think Coach Riginos (his son Ben played with the Clippers) and Coach McGuire are both great guys. I bring my team to Winthrop each summer for a tournament.

Michael threw some big games for us the last 2 years. He will do well at Winthrop.

@ GotWood - Thanks again for the photo rescue. You're a class act.

@Coach Merc - Coach McGuire is big on my son. He and former Coach DiEduardo came to every game Mike pitched last HS season. After committing we held our breath when the HC was fired but Coach Mac stayed in touch and we were very relieved and happy after meeting with Coach Riginos. Thanks for the welcome. Sounds like a great group here.

@redbird - Mike played for a few travel teams prior to the Canes. What a class organization that is truely there for the kids. We never played with a travel team before where every single one of the players, parents, and coaches were a joy to associate with. I can honestly say being on the Canes North roster doubled the amount of interest he received.

See posts above you. Senior this year. Will enjoy it but that nagging realization that with every game played we're closer to baseball as we know it being over. He'll be playing in a college an hour up the road but the days of stopping by after work to watch practices, being at every scrimmage and game, working the snack bar, having teammates sleep over, etc. will be a thing of the past. I guess we're lucky he's an hour up the road so we can try and make as many games as possible and especially when he's pitching. It'll be a whole new world...
