Seems like there are several newish posters that are affiliated with websites and post their link in each post they have on the hsbbweb. I'm sure they're sincere in their interest of helping players/ parents but I can't help but feel they are using this great site to advertise without paying advertising fees to Mnmom ( our great leader!).

On other websites I frequent they have a rule that you can't post links to other websites. I would like to see this here as I think they are getting free advertising. Or have I missed it and they are paid advertisers on this site????

I may be wrong, but I do not think she minds if the link isn't to a business. But you will have to check with her on that.
CaBB,

Thanks for posting about this.

You are right, we do prohibit the inclusion of links to other websites in signatures. Some members have received permission to include links to non-business sites (example: personal blogs about baseball by players and former players, etc.).

Please feel free to click the Alert button (the little yellow triangle with a ! ) to let me know about any posts that seem to be mis-using their posting privileges.
Smile
