I really don't like to promote our site here, but every once in awhile there is something I think is appropriate.

We are blessed to have a very talented writer by the name of Jeff Dahn.  He tends to find stories at our events that are extremely interesting.  I'm a bit partial, but I think he is one of the better writers in baseball in some ways.

This story is one that leaves me confused.  I don't know if it makes me sad or happy. Maybe some of both!

You will see what I mean if you read it...

PG if you are referring to NCAA rules, they would be fools to try to make an issue of this.

I am not sure I would have written an article about it without making sure he would be in jeopardy regarding recruiting rules. I am assuming the writer is unaware.

Good story. I wish him the best.

TPM,

Good grief! Of course PGStaff isn't referring to NCAA recruiting rules.  The story is about tragedy followed by community support.  Many of us will be conflicted by this story because we feel sad about the tragedy, and yet uplifted by the response of the community. I imagine PGStaff has similar feelings.

You offer a lot of advice on this board.  I'm going to offer you some:

Read more, including re-reading you own posts; think more; write less.

Here you've decided to assume the writer is unaware of NCAA recruiting rules, without any justification that I can see.  Worse, by implication, you imply that PGStaff would willingly have compounded the supposed error in judgement by the writer, since he specially recommended the article.

A few moments of reflection might help you from writing these sorts of posts.
