Pretty much confirms the experience with my 10U son. Kids are born with the natural ability to swing the bat and hit the ball. Our challenge, as parents, grandparents, and coaches is not to screw them up by "over coaching them" in preparation for the MLB draft and recruitment to a D-1 school before they get a chance to play T-ball. Be on the lookout for that "special" coach looking to fulfill his lifelong desire to take a team to the USSSA T-ball world series. Run, don't walk and sit the season out playing backyard baseball. Its the most fun you and your kid will have.
Too cute ... brings back memories of our youngin' with is first bat and ball.
However, I think his swing would improve even more if the bat were a little bit shorter ... he keeps hitting his tummy with the end of the bat when he swings.
