I have been looking at schools websites and I was wondering a couple of things. What is the best way to contact a coach and at least get your name on the radar? Also, a lot of schools have internet recruiting questionnaires that can be filled out and sent in, does anyone know if coaches even look at these? Is it worth the time to go to each site and fill them out?

Go to a high profile showcase or tournament and hit a few homeruns, they will find your name.

Thats another tough part, being not that big, I'm more of a singles/doubles guy who hits for average.

I'm trying, but some of the websites don't list the coach's contact information, just info on the department, do you think that would end up getting to the coach?

Most college websites have a "staff directory." If you can't find the head coach, e-mail the Sports Information Director (SID) and they'll usually return your e-mail promptly.

Not all of those websites are real easy to navigate, keep trying.

Oh, and Pete Rose hit a lot of singles and doubles!

Agree with biggerpapi..the staff directory will more than likely have the coach email.

With the new college bats, they will need guys like you in a couple of years...

When contacting the SID, should I just ask for the coach's email so I can contact him?

If the contact information is not under the coach's profile under baseball, the Staff Directory is sometimes likely to be on the school's main website vs the athletic website.

If you find the SID's email address, you will find the Baseball's staff email address. It may be an recruiting coach if the head coach does not want to receive the outside contact.

Sure, just tell him you're trying to reach the coach. It should be no big deal. I do it a lot when we travel to play at different colleges. I ask for the address of the ball park so I can GPS it.

I have it under control now, with a few of them there were multiple pages I had to go through to get to the email, which got really confusing.

Here is a link to a site that has a lot of links to various colleges by state (DI, DII, DIII, NAIA, NJCAA-JUCO's, CCCAA-CA JC's, and USCAA):

Baseball Clearing House.Net

The information is pretty good, with only a few mistakes such as what division they are in if they had changed.
