Removing Pine Tar from Bats | High School Baseball Web

I have a Marucci wood bat and I have a ton of pine tar on it. I want to take it off or the new season because I don't like the way it looks. It even started collecting the black stuff from asphalt. What is the best way to get this off. I have tried Lysol wipes but it didn't work. I'm thinking about just scrubbing with a washcloth using soap and water

Try goo-gone, or is it goo-off? Smells citrusy.

rubbing alcohol will take off pine tar and evaporate not adding weight to bat.

Off of wood... I'm not sure. I used goo gone/very hot water and a plastic scraper on composite bats

I just got some rubbing alcohol and I'm going to try it when I get home. I'll let everyone know if it works.

It worked great. Just used an old Tshirt and put some rubbing alcohol on little by little. Took about 10 minutes!

Glad to hear that Delaware. That's actually an old Ted Williams trick.
