Am wondering how much longer, if at all, the Dbacks will tolerate this behavior from this player. The GM mentions the goal of continuing to educate players ... presumably about performance enhanging drugs ... but after a previous suspension, one has to wonder if this player is able to understand the basic concept.

Don't MLB teams have staff that should be watching this like a hawk? The "I didn't understand" excuse is not a good one. It's not like the topic is "old news".

Totally agree with you re lack of excuse but I didn't want to be so rude as to say the kid is pretty darn dense

I don't know if anyone actually 'watches' these kids but how dumb can a guy be if he was already caught once ... could he possibly think that he wouldn't be 'randomly' tested again? Heck, I don't think it should be random, I think it should be on a regular basis once they have been busted. JMHO

I thought it was a mandatory thing after an offense. If so with this kid you are measuring IQ with 1 hand.

I know random testing is mandatory but don't know if regular non-random testing is ...

Does anybody else know? (I have not read the official policy.)
