Bet TPM has prediction.

O'brady,

How old is your son now? Asking because a friend of mine in Stockbridge that helps out Marcos Smile will probably be there this weekend.

His son will probably catch if I know Timmy, I mean Tim's dad Bo Osborne...I mean both, actually.

Will probably be a great prospect in catching dept. Don't know where the years go sometimes.

Do you know the Osbornes?

Mine is about to turn 16. I grew up in Columbia and, of course, attended USC.

Son has always wanted to play for Tanner, but as long as he gets to play, he'll go anywhere! As a left handed pitcher, he has good prospects. We'll see when the growth genes kick in.

Don't think we can make the trip (home) this year but waiting on trips to Auburn and Ga.

Don't know the Osbornes, we live in the PTC area.

Know Columbia area well. My brother Jerry played for Coach Raines back in early 90s for Gamecocks.

I also played in University of SC system at Aiken.

LHP, sounds like a good player. What college Coach wouldn't want a good LHP. Bet former Big League pitcher, Doug Simons at Covenant College, would like to Coach him. Tell him Shep referred you. I helped Doug as associate when he scouted for Texas Rangers.

His contacts are excellent and here is the link>

bobhempy,
I thank you for the link, no problem about it being biased, will turn the sound down and listen to CU broadcast on another pc. Big Grin
Actually many Clemson fans will be watching, I think it is a great idea! Hope it works!

Not sure about DK this weekend, he has pitched 2 innings in practice this week and feeling good. I think CU has plans to pull out all the stops this weekend. But we do have CofC to contend with Friday night. Looking forward to two wins against state rivals, but will take the split if we have to.
Just for information, USC and Clemson will meet total of 4 times, just like they do every year. It's a great series. But bragging rights can't be claimed until they play the 4 games!
Best of luck to your son.

Callaway,
Thanks!

1 down 3 to go, it's a 4 game series total, the others to be played later on. Last year they took a split.

Fungo,
You are correct, but I don't think any team likes another team coming to their house and winning.
SC and Clemson is a nasty state rivalry, in all sports. I know that CU fans are tough on the visitors, have seen it. I think it's pretty sad when any visiting team gets verbal abuse, no matter where you play. Last year they hurled every nasty remark you can think of at my son, twice (he was used to it by the second time) and am sure the SC pitchers will get it right back today. I am just not into that stuff in the college game, wherever the game is played.
JMO.
