Showcasing after signing NLI

When you see a player attending showcases who has already signed to play college baseball, can you assume that player is trying to improve their MLB draft status? Is there some other reason for a signed HS senior to showcase which I'm missing? Just wondering.

Think this is a great question. Depends on where he signed and what he wants ot accomplish. If signed at a JUCO or NAIA, maybe going for a better opportunity.
After son signed he only attended showcases sponsored by MLB teams, which where not run during HS season.
I would think it is more important for the player to stick to HS ball, but that is just my opinion.
