I graduated from HS last summer (2013). My family moved to a different state this fall/winter so I did not attend college this fall or spring semesters.

My question is, how much eligibility have I "wasted" taking this year off? The dream to play college ball is still very much alive but I just want to know if I still have four years to do it.

Any input is greatly appreciated as is any clarification on D1 vs. JUCO vs. NAIA rules on this subject.

Thanks all

So far you are OK to still have 5 calendar years for competition in baseball.  However, for D1 and D2, enrolling in college this fall ensures that you won't lose any eligibility.  If you delay enrollment after that, and take part in any organized competition, you lose one of your 4 seasons of competition for each year of delay. 14.2.3.2 and (D2) 14.2.4.2

I'm not aware of limitations in NAIA or JCs.
