Congratulation to Jeff! While reading all the Tennessee signees from Florida I noticed a player from a JUCO (Jackson State) in our home town but the press release is confusing.
Jackson State (Tenn.) Community College infielder Kyle Blackwood rounds out the Vols' early signing class. An All-District and All-Region honoree, Blackwood hit .427 with two home runs, four triples, 12 doubles and 37 RBIs while attending Shawnee (Ill.) Community College in 2005.

I guess that means he played in IL last year, will play at Jackson State this year and will be in Knoxville next year. I hope he's majoring in geography.

Another great bunch of ballplayers headed to Knoxville, sounds like we are getting some great talent!
Kyle played his HS ball at nearby Halls HS, not Knox Halls, but Halls in West TN. He played at Shawnee last season and has transferred to Jackson for the upcoming season
