My son is playing in a tourney next weekend...starting Thursday...and the schedule isn't out yet. Keep in mind, the organization running the tourney basically has their own facility with more than enough fields to run the whole tourney in one complex...and the tourney only has 25 teams entered. Not having a schedule out 6 days before a tourney is unreal with all the tools you have to do tourney scheduling these day. We played this weekend in a 40 team tourney...and the schedule was out in April. I ran a 24 team tourney 2 years ago in mid-June and had the schedule out in early April. The tourney was play in the following weekend has been out for 3 or 4 days...and it has 70 teams playing at a dozen different complexes. I don't understand why it's so tough to get a schedule out in a timely manner. Sure, the team knows they're going to play...but parents and families would like more than 6 days to plan a trip. What do you guys feel is acceptable for getting a schedule out??
