+1! I do wish our county school system would institute a minimum GPA as well. But not just for sports - for all extracurricular activities.

I do know the middle school principal amended the VHSL rule - student-athletes must pass ALL classes to participate in sports.

WOW. A whole 2.0 GPA. Nothing like setting the bar high for STUDENT athletes.

I guess it is better than the local "feeder" team in my area. Min. required is a D average. I suggested that this was not really a "feeder" team because unless their academics improve none will be eligible to play in high school.
