PD would you be trying to bait me?

Ok I'll bite, It appears to me in this entire thread that "dodger" has it figured out.

Most of the time when you hear about "so and so" throwing 94 in reality its a 88-89 consistancy. MPH is highly overrated in the grand scheme of things. In my humble opinion.

It helps to throw a fast ball at 90 or above, but does the player have projectability? Can he actually be taught how to pitch at the next level or does he just go out there and throw "THE HEAT". Fast balls go a long way on the recoil of an aluminum bat.

PD shame on you for baiting me like that!

I'm not that good at baiting JAFO -- started to go blind and lost my master status. If I have a problem with you, I'll just call you out here -- deal? Smile

dodger has a few things figured out, but he's not as smart as he thinks he is.....

My earlier post was directed at those that lurk, then one day decide they have to emerge to tell others how they should be posting. Cool

(and this has to be one of my 3000 baddest posts)

I think it's an age thing PD. As you get older it takes more time and effort to bait, and you are not up to doing it quite as often. In the long run it is just as fulfilling. These young posters think they just bait whenever they want, but often feel the shame, being quick on the keyboard and having to do it over and over again finally getting it right.

So here's to both types - young and old baiters. May you all be masters of your domain (HSBBWeb of course).

JAFO -

who would be on your list?

Beats me.....I just know that the hype surrounding a 90 mph fastball has a life of its own and if you know of someone that is in that category, I "guarrantee" you someone has clocked them or seen them clocked at 94-96 ...I am watching 4 year old T-Ball now, contemplating retirement, coming out of retirement and then retiring again.

Side of the tracks? I live in the ghetto wit my peeps.
