Scores demonstrate the following:
1. How bad CPS baseball really is.
2. How desperate some fans are for attention (and how little they care about their opposition) when they feel a need to post actual (34-4) scores vs "official".
3. That no matter how often a dolphin may change its gender, it never changes its stripes.
Guys, let's go with the "glass half full" approach on this and keep it positive. Wow, it looks like half of the teams in the CPS are really strong this year, even if it is only among those teams in the CPS. I don't know if that is true or not but who cares?

You only have to look at the posts throughout this forum and their negativity to see why there are very few players who bother to post here any more. Just like alot of things the parents and the "crazy dads"(I'm including myself on this) are messing things up for the kids who are supposed to be helped by a forum like this. There used to be lots of players who posted on this forum several years ago and beyond and that's what made this a great forum, getting imput from the actual players and updates etc, on their teams. That's not happening much anymore it seems to me.
With 2 out in the bottom of the 7th inning, Jack Cinamon (2 for 4) smashed a Double to win the game for the Dolphins. It was 6-5 Young (24-4) getting the Win over Brooks.

Young allowed 3 unearned runs to cross the plate and it certainly appeared that the Dolphins were headed for an early exit from the playoffs. However, with the game on the line in the bottom of the 7th Inning, John Schreiber hit the ball hard which resulted in a misfire by Brooks, allowing Dae Bowden to cross the plate and tie the game with two outs.

Then it was Cinamon's Double with two outs which allowed Schreiber to score and send Brooks home. Brooks played extremely well and gave the Dolphins more than a scare. The Brooks pitcher was impressive, but made one costly mistake at the end of the game. Pitching for Young were Nate Kamin, Jason Ormond and Joe Frahm. Appearances, but no decision for any of the Young pitchers.

Young plays next on Friday and will face either Kenwood or Clemente.

Mark Ormond, if you are reading this. How about an update on your original Clubbers team. They are all juniors, and many of them star on their high school teams. I know Charlie McElveen is crushing the ball for Loyola. Burrage is doing well also at St. Rita. It would be intersting to hear how those guys are doing. You can leave out my kid. I know how he is doing.

bb1954-- Thanks, in addition to a dolphin thread we will also have clubber thread to boot. how fortunate for those young men that they got to play on some of the finest fields in the world. blah, blah, blah. maybe we can get an update on all the old seminoles as well. see how all the 12yo all americans are doing. at least we have tacit evidence that dolphin mom and mark ormand are one in the same.
I don't know that Dolphin Mom is Mark Ormond. I just asked if Mark was reading the threads. I would like to know how those Seminoles are doing. I know Mike Kane is still one of the best hitters around. I never hear about Mike Olp though. I think he went to Wheaton. Walker is playing well for Maine East, and Sean Kennedy I think is playing in Gurnee, I think Warren. That 12 year old class of those travel teams seemed to be special at the time. I was just wondering how they panned out in high school.
There was always talk of how 12 year old "studs" would do in the future. For those kids, the future is now.
LOL!

you guys are killing me...but seriously, it really doesn't matter does it? travel ball as 12's and high school ball are such different beasts. some of the top back then are now average and some of the bottom of the lineup guys on those teams have now grown into their "adult" bodies and are leading their HS teams. And some, have not yet grown into their bodies and as such. are still showing signs of projectability for college success.

I distinctly remember some old timers predicting exactly this scenario. Of course, there are the few who were special then and remain so now...my props to Angelo Burrage...flat out scary then and still. Also to my dog at LWE...I saw all along the D1 potential.

I don't know that Mark was very secretive at his transformation into Dolphin Mom. Obvious from the start. However, there is nothing wrong with threads such as the requested Clubber's Thread. In fact, I think that it is an excellent idea. The ability to track any of these "select teams" from the early days until now should shed a light on those younger players today and their projections into future success. Although we all know that several intangiables will also come into play. JMHO!

Coach, I agreee. But inevitably it will only digress...again into another "don't say anything if you have nothing nice to say' thread and someone gets upset and then the thread gets locked. But. yes, i'm sure some nice stories have evolved around and from those select teams referenced.
