I told you I would come back and eat some crow if I was wrong and was I ever wrong. I watched a Poteet team that didn't even come close to playing their best game, but they still dominated what is suppose to be their biggest challenger in the district. As far as the noise in the stands goes. I think it was great. You had a playoff atmosphere with students making as much noise as they could to help their team win. If you don't like that it can only mean that you've never gone very far in post season play. The lack of class last night was all on Red Oak. Throwing at hitters because you can't keep them off base. Flipping players off because you can't hit the other team's pitcher. You have to lose with class as much as you have to win with class. If you can't beat them, you can't beat them. Just give them their due. The player with the most class was the pitcher from Poteet. He had every right in the world to put one in #21's ear hole and all he did was graze him with a pitch. That kid should be thankful that the Poteet pitcher had far more class than he did. Looks like tomorrow night is for second and third. Where is the game being played?

Not classless that was just the facts, I remember being there too with Forney; final four in 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002 & 2004

That was awesome back in the 3A days. Oh yeah, thats back when the furniture guy used to move kids up here from East Texas. They had some awesome teams. Don't remember seeing you at the playoff games in Forney. La Grange was pretty good weren't they. But your right let's play em out as they happen. Cool

I think last night just proved that Poteet is a very good team. I've been to all R.O's game this year and have never seen any of the team act the way they did last night. I think the way the acted last night was brought out by the intensity from Poteet. I think the only unclassy thing I saw from Poteet in the game was when the 2nd baseman geared up and threw the ball at Alsup when he was about 15 feet away. Other than that, I will admit that Red Oak didn't show just a whole lot of class. If R.O. plans on going into they playoffs they can't let that atmosphere bother them. I heard many of them talking after the game about how they actually like the crowd noise, but many were too worried about not striking out. Here's Blunt's credit where it's do, excellent game young man!...Fletcher didn't throw because he had been out of town and wasn't in pitching shape. Wallis or the sophmore right fielder were the only two options I would imagine.

Hardnosed...I guess it looked intentional to the Poteet dugout when the 1st baseman didn't even attempt to catch the ball. I think if you're tallying up the intentional shots taken at players, RO would win hands down. But what's done is done and that game is over. There is still a 2nd half of the season and Poteet plays all but one of those games on the road. We'll see how it turns out.
I actually saw her kick out a Forney dad for inviting an opposing Mom (kicked out also) into the parking lot two years ago when my older son was a senior. Don't remember for sure who we were playing. I have to admit, both were yelling (Forney dad was sitting right behind me) quite loudly and they were quite rude. Thank goodness neither used obscenities in their yelling.
If I recall correctly it was a playoff game against McKinney in '08 when she "tossed" them. I remember where I was sitting and that's the only game that I have been in that seat ever at Forney. I was actually video taping that game and I believe that I, more than likely, picked up the ugly verbal exchange on tape. I'll have to find the tape and see. She definitely patrols the area.
