Web's dad,
How cool! Your son is going to be JH's teammate!! I'm going to assume you guys have met and communicated online, but if not you are in for a treat. Congratulations and best wishes to your son.
Calisportsfan,
I enjoyed your post. I think many of the parents here miss some of the same things that you are missing. I know I have tripped on shoes, baseball, equipment etc. and we think my son throws clothes in the laundry that he hasn't even worn.

Runningaway,
Perhaps we raised the same Y chromosome! I now realize the 6 old pairs of cleats on the garage door step aren't needed anymore either.
I can honestly say the only benefit so far is the reduced laundry
Everything else I truly miss! I haven't had to tell anyone not to swear for a solid week either.
It' s tough time to adjust around here. I can't wait to hear from him how school is, find out he really bought his books and paid tuition and all about baseball which starts next week. What he doesn't realize is that 20 questions is now a game turned into 101 questions the longer he waits to give me a glimpse into his new life@!

Hopefully, he will be catching two HSBBW'ers!
An empty house seems like such a strange thing after all four kids spread across all these years (30). The house might not be full again ever, at least on a permanent basis. Fortunately, they visit and then there are grandchildren, which in a lot of ways is even better.
Can someone tell me what to expect next summer? I know my son will be sent somewhere to play, does that mean he won't be home at all? Do summer leagues end early enough for a visit home in most cases?
I have a thousand questions and no answers. Summer league....when, where, what etc?
I guess this could be it's own thread?
