SLS, Have a great time in Jupiter. Good luck also with the SAT. He might want to consider taking the ACT and see if he comes out better on that. We were glad to get that behind us! My son is also considering Ohio.
First ever PG event a couple of weeks ago. Hopefully soon enough we can add a college picture like many of you to show the difference in him as a young Junior and then as a young college player!

Thanks, mofireman.
Got a name to go with the picture?
(I really got tired of seeing the poster between this and yours. Punk kid with a computer is my guess.)

Yeah, I know! I never saw the message but apparently it wasn't appropriate?!? Oh well!

Isn't 2013 someone who just started 8th grade??? I believe the purpose of this thread is to post info about your sons who have attended their events.
Mark B,
Welcome to the HSBBW.

I believe it is fair to say that ALL are welcome to post here.
Regardless of age or if you have attended a PG event. Its about getting to know one another and pulling for the kids, no matter what stage of the game they are at.

Mark B,
I noticed this is your second thread and that you are the father of a 12U. Please make sure you stop by our Pre-Highschool thread located right under the After Highschool thread. Its a great group!

Lodi14,..this thread is NOT for PG event attendees only.
Please re-read my post above and PG's original post.
EVERYONE is welcome to post here.
The very best to your son.
It will be fun to hear more about him and his baseball experiences!!
lodi14,
Like SSMom says, "EVERYONE is welcome to post here." A few pages back I thought I'd identify my son. I'm a picture nut and because this site will only allow pictures already on the internet somewhere, I tried to come up with a common denominator. Since many of the posters' kids have attended PG showcases and their photos are easily accessible on their site, it made sense to guide the photos that way. I really like that many have posted action shots from other sources.
...and I really like your tag line, "Bat Speed Kills".
...and I wish I found this site as early in my son's career as you did. Well maybe not, when I think of all the time I spend with this addiction.

PG's website has a schedule of all their upcoming events, right on through 2009.

Yeah, and none of infidel_son, either. Sometimes we like to stay anonymous.
From fall scrimmage action:
If this works, this is little puma at PG and then at the Cape.
Guess they won't be able to be the Braves much longer. Maybe the Bourne Beasts or Bruins. Just don't see how "Braves" can belong to MLB. Now if it was "Atlanta Braves" that's a different story but that's a different thread.
I wonder how the Bourne Freeze would go over in the cape. The Bourne Outs? Or how about the Bad Signs?
Bourne 2Runs?
Bourne Losers (nah)
Bourne Ultimatums
Bourne Losers (nah)
Bourne Ultimatums
They are keeping the Braves name for 2009 according to officials.

No jinx when a fan of Sluggers do it
Thanks OLDSLUGGER8. Since you posted the picture I don't have to worry about the jinx! By the way he will be spending the summer in your home state with the Southern Ohio Copperheads. I guess I will have to take a couple of road trips.
Since some of the "old timers" are throwing some recent pics out there, here's one I found a few weeks ago on the web.
Randy,
Great photo! Ryan looks so strong there...he's 6'5", right? How much does he weigh? He looks like a very intimidating presence on the mound!

SDBB,
First of all, how much thicker is son # 1 now, as opposed to then? A lot of time in the weight room on that boy!
Secondly, congrats to son # 2 on winning it all in Jupiter! Now, why has he not committed to Wake?
Finally, to answer your questions, as with all such projects there are snags and delays. Fall ball was at Hook. They will play this spring at Ernie Shore, but as is. Next year's fall ball will again be at Hook while ES is torn up and rebuilt. Spring 2009 will unveil the new ES, mostly improved except I'm not too thrilled about the decision to switch it from natural grass to field turf! Hook comes down at that point, more space for the golf team I guess.

SDBB, I too am curious:
How old was son #1 in first picture and how old is he now? How much did he weigh compared to now? He certainly looks beefy!

And very handsome. amazing transformation boys to men.
First photo... 6'4" 195 lbs.... 16 years old..
Second photo little over 6'5" 21 years old.. last I heard around 240 lbs... a consistent conditioning program and maturing body can transform those tall lanky kids into impressive young men....
