Texas(Big12)vs TCU(MWC)
Florida(SEC)vs USM(CUSA)
Clemson(ACC)vs ASU(Pac10)
NCarolina(ACC)vs ECarolina(CUSA)
CSF(BigWest)vs Louisville(BigEast)
FSU(ACC)vs Arkansas(SEC)
OleMiss(SEC)vs UVA(ACC)
LSU(SEC)vs Rice(CUSA)

4 ACC teams
4 SEC teams
3 CUSA teams
1 Big12 team
1 BigEast team
1 BigWest team
1 MWC team
1 Pac10 team

CUSA had an extra good showing, all 3 of their teams advanced

As a MWC fan I'm pulling for TCU to do what Utah did in football. Hoping for CSF, ASU and TCU to be 3 of the last 4.

Anybody seeing any upsets along the way? Maybe with the field left there aren't really any upsets.
Looking forward to some great baseball hopefully with no more blowouts.

I am very worried about ECU. I have seen them play several times and they are very good. This is a huge in state rivalry many of these kids have played against each other since the AAU travel ball days and all the way through high school. They split during the regular season with each team winning at home. This is going to be an intense tough super regional.

UVA
TCU
Florida
ASU
Louisville
Ole Miss
LSU
UNC

Let's hope so...

On Monday night unfortunately, "The friend of College Baseball" as they like to call themselves - ESPN, decided to re-air Sunday's FSU Vs. Ohio State game. You know, the game that was over in the 1st inning... The game where the final score was 37-6?!?

Yeah, that was appropriate, with 6 LIVE-Regional-ELIMINATION games on at the same time!?!

Thanks ESPN, what a JOKE!!!

The way it works, is that ESPN gets first pick of the regionals it wants to broadcast. It always picks two, one east coast, one west coast. After that, other networks and regional stations get an opportunity to pick up those regionals. At that point, ESPN is shut out and has given up the broadcast rights of those events.

That's why they call them regionals! Wink

For everyone watching, Spence is showing you don't need to throw 95 mph to be effective. If you can change speeds, throw strikes, alter your looks, change your arm angles, etc, you can be effective in DI topping at 85.

This kid has PITCHED all year long. So many of these kids just THROW. There is a BIG difference...

Not me. I had a chance to meet the man once- he's a gentleman and a helluva recruiter. His comments about Spence and Newman on the air last night just made me like him even more.
Josh Spence is one of those very special guys that you don't see come along too often. The way he controlled his game and took it to the very highest level. He made me think of Greg Norman, whom he resembles slightly, and David Cone (as a craftsman). The young man can certainly pitch.
