Ball4Life - SCE looked good. Not big, but sound. I think they pounded out 11 hits and 10 were singles. Played good D, pitched well, good speed, disciplined. Haskins has them looking like a baseball team and you can tell the kids have bought in. I don't they will challenge for the U-8 title, but should have a shot at surviving a regional.

We got out to a 6-1 lead and a 7 inning 4th did us in. Fremd batters looked great today. Coach P is a great guy. The parents put on a great spread which was greatly appreciated. This is the first time LP has played Fremd in my tenue. I would not hesitate to play them again. Class team and staff.
Lancers 10-4, 4-2
We now get a few days off to get some guys healthy and will play East Aurora next Thursday/Friday.

DC33,
Thanks coach. The feeling is mutual. We'd love to keep you on the schedule.

Central moves to 15-1 in finishing off a three game sweep against a good opponent. In a surprise move, Dan Ludwig has been named the starting pitcher for this Saturday's game against Lockport. Usually Seiple does not use his top pitchers in non conference games, but what this does is sets up his two lefties to be able to pitch the next Saturday in the doubleheader against Naperville North.
North has only lost two games this year themselves and has to be sick and tired of hearing how great Central is. If I were in their shoes, I'd be ****ed off too. They have to have Saturday May 1st circled on their schedule.
It should be a great day for high school baseball!

Danny, Wow who pitched in game 2 to hold Herschr down to 1 run?
Streator threw its two lefties against Hersher. Gunther Libby threw game 1 and Drew Sabol threw game two.
Herscher put up 26 runs on Pontiac in our only meeting. While I didn't think they were truly an amazing offense, they were quite good and holding them to a run means some good pitching and defense.
OK I have been away for a while and did not know this was a conference doubleheader.
