Oak Park 5 Evanston 2. Great game in frigid temps. The new field at Evanston is one of the nicest HS facilities I have ever seen. They should be very proud of the work done on behalf of the school.

Highland Park took their first loss of the season, 6-1 via Hersey. Jon Menke still in China (returns April 9), another senior has 1 more game to go before his suspension is up.
Heard that the new coach will be sitting out some games. What's up with that?
itsrosey - He was given a 2 game suspension (ended yesterday). I'm not certain as to the exact details but from what I understand he was present, but did not coach, at a winter hitting session where the team gathered for hitting. They (the players) rented cage time and each player chipped in. They would hit for a couple of hours. One night coach came in and was talking to instructors. However, he should have just walked out when he saw the team was there.

Palatine Triad:
Game 1 Palatine 3 Bartlett 2.
Ace vs Ace, Huenecke (Belmont commit)vs King (Creighton commit). Palatine scores in the bottom of the 7th for the W in a well played exciting game. King has some of the smoothest mechanics I have ever seen. Huenecke kept the Bartlett hitters off balance all day.
Game 2 Maine West 19 Bartlett 8
West battered a couple of Bartlett pitchers but Hawks never quit. West raced out to a 10-2 fifth inning lead. Bartlett closed to 10-8 to make it close but a 9 run 7th inning put the game away.
Game 3 Maine West 10 Palatine 0
West Sr. Nate Anderson pitched a 5 inning 1 hitter and West had the bats going again all game.

In 28 years of coaching I have never seen high school fields as nice as Colliersville H.S. and Christian Brothers High School in Tennessee. Im very jealous but also got some great ideas to improve our field without spending as much as we do normally. It was also fun playing in USA stadium. 70's all week. Great experience!
