Let's see, I was born in 1966. The TV shows that have stuck with me growing up in the 70's & 80's? I always remember my Saturday mornings...The Bugs Bunny Show, Super-Friends, George of the Jungle, Tom & Jerry, and This Week in Baseball followed by the game of the week.
Here are the shows I remember most growing up in no particular order. Some were re-runs after school and others were televised with my family gathered around our HUGE 19" RCA Television:
Brady Bunch (I'll admit it too, MizzouBaseball), The Partridge Family, The Addams Family, The Munsters, My Favorite Martian, The Flinstones,Speed Racer,Get Smart, My Three Sons, Flipper, Lassie, Mister Ed, Andy Griffith Show, Leave it to Beaver, I Love Lucy, The Dick VanDyke Show, Mary Tyler Moore Show, Happy Days, Laverne & Shirley, All in the Family, The Jeffersons, MASH, The Six Million Dollar Man, The Bionic Woman, The Incredible Hulk series (Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno), Batman, Bewithched, I Dream of Jeannie, Adam-12, Emergency!, CHIPS, The Dukes of Hazard, Mork & Mindy, The Odd Couple, Sanford & Son, Taxi, Three's Company, Gilligans Island (MARY-ANN by a landslide!), Charlie's Angels, The White Shadow, Welcome Back,Kotter, WKRP in Cincinatti, The Twilight Zone, The Love Boat, Diff'rent Strokes, The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie (same night as Monday Night Football!), MONDAY Night Football, Saturday Night Live,CHEERS, Magnum P.I., The Cosby Show, Hillstreet Blues, Knight Rider, Who's the Boss?, and Family Ties...and if I was spending time at my grandparents house I watched on their 25" Big Screen RCA TV...Bonanza, Green Acres, Dragnet, Hawaii Five-O, The Carol Burnett Show, Candid Camera,Gunsmoke, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Hee-Haw (spelling?)! They also watched DALLAS and Knots Landing...but I can honestly say I didn't jump on that band-wagon with them!
I watch sports 80-90 percent of the time now, but I do have a handful of shows that I'll sit down and watch with my wife for our huband/wife "Quality Time" now that we're "Empty Nesters".
