What a great day! HS season is upon us.

I am just a bystander and not affiliated with this website, but if this is the way you share scores you've got to get you one of these....

http://ga.prepcountry.com/

They've recently changed the site so they may be trying to expand it to other states. Go to spring sports, select 'team schedules' or 'region standings', and you can find anything you want about spring hs baseball in the state of georgia.
.

That'a a nice enough looking site BillBill, but considering our need to argue and yell at each other here in the Illinois Forum I don't think that type of site would satisfy us.

I looked at the site and was able to get a quote on a new Infiniti©, but not able to toss any barbs. It left me wanting and totally unfulfilled.

My finger wanted to pound the keyboard and lash out at someone...anyone! I'm sure I could have come up with some sharp, pithy remarks for the folks in Twiggs County, but there's no dartboard on the site!

No targets. No good!

Whitney Young - 13

Mount Carmel - 6

Frank Gowder - 2 RBI HR
WY - 13 Runs on 11 Hits and 4 Errors
MC - 6 Runs on 6 Hits and 2 Errors

Lead off hitter, Cabera for WY and LF was HBP in 6th inning of the game. Ambulance arrived and took him to U of C Hospital to address a serious injury to the face. Cat Scan to be performed. Has vision out of the eye. Most of the team visited him after the game at the hospital. Will stay overnight in the hospital for observation.

Four facial fractures including to the eye socket.

Major facial reconstructive surgery will be upcoming after the swelling comes down.

We all pray for a speedy recovery.

It should be noted that both Coach Hurry and the pitcher from Mt. Carmel went to visit the young man who was injured, which was a very classy move.
Highland Park overcomes a 6-0 hole to win 8-7 over Von Stueben. James McCraren, a Junior pitcher for HP made his varsity debut. AJ Nathan picked up the win with a steller 1-2-3 (all K's) inning of relief in the top of the seventh. HP tied it in the bottom of the 6th before eking out a run in the bottom of the seventh for the 1 run victory. Jon Menke got HP on the board with a 2 run home run to start the comeback.

Packdad here is a score for you from today:

Prairie Ridge 2
Palatine 0

Good pitchers duel between Joe Zwierzynski (undecided) and Dan Huenecke (Belmont). It was fun to see two potential D1's going after each other. The line on Zwierzynski was this: 7 inn., 3 H, 1 BB, 12 K

Great effort by both teams in the cold temperatures up here in McHenry County.

Also, does anyone know if Neuqua Valley has played yet, and if so what is there record?
