Which style of clam chowder do you like?

I know hsbbweb has good representation from the Northeast, many of whom are surely fired up for this weekend's Super Bowl. Let's bring the game off the field, for a moment, and into the kitchen.

I'm not sure how often people in other parts of the country have a chance to enjoy one of my favorite soups- Clam Chowder. I'm no food expert. I just know I like it. For the sake of the non-scientific Souper Bowl Poll, we will use New England vs Manhattan.

Manhattan Clam Chowder (red)
A chowder made with clams, vegetables, salt pork, and seasonings in a tomato-based broth.

New England Clam Chowder (white)
A thick chowder made with clams, onions, potatoes, salt pork, and milk.

I know there are many regional variations of clam chowder. If you enjoy a different version, feel free to discuss it.
