Mike Falsetti pitched a complete game, giving up 3 earned runs and throwing 107 pitches for Fenwick.

Mike Black had 6 RBI's and a HR for Fenwick also.

In the top of the 7th Fenwick was down 7-6 having their 9-1-2 batters coming up. After a groundout, a single by Cam Verbeke, a walk issued to Mike Loni, and another to Falsetti, Austin Brown came up huge with a 2 RBI double to the Left-Center gap to put Fenwick in the lead. After that Fenwick blew it open with a bunch of hits.

Game 1: At OPRF 11 - DGN 2
OPRF swings the bats hard from top to bottom of order. Best hitting team we've faced so far. Lots of hard, consistant contact. Very impressive. Constant pressure on defense.

Game 2: DGN 5 - at OPRF 3
Complete game (90 pitches? just a guess) from DGN RHP AJ Mulford. Solid pitching and much improved defense in game 2 for DGN.

Rubber game on Tuesday in Downers Grove.

Central joins OPRF as the two best teams I have seen this year. Very good defense...outfielders went and got the ball. SS (Johans?) made an excellent play going deep in the hole, turning and throwing without getting set to nail the pretty fast hitter. It was a webgem. I rate OPRF's offense as better but I sure liked Central's "D"

JMO based upon what I've seen.
Tuesday noon game JCA vs. Divine Child (MI)

JCA 5 - Divine Child 0

Divine Child pitcher was Alan Oaks a top rated pitcher in the midwest that has committed to the University of Michigan. At 6'3" and 225 lbs he looked like he should be going out for football.

Divine Child is scheduled to play Mt Carmel at UIC at 7pm this evening. They will then take in a Sox game tomorrow. Not a bad spring trip for the boys from Michigan.
