Re: POLL MAN: Why do kids quit baseball?
Good Day Folks, Just a few issues to consider in this discussion. 1. The the single biggest drop off is from the Little League level to the Babe Ruth level of play. In my town, we had six LL teams with 12 players each. When They went up to Babe Ruth, they fielded 5 teams, but we included players from one of the neighboring towns. At that level, often games were forfeited due to a lack of players showing up. Many young players give up the game when they hit the 90' foot diamond. ( I am from...

Re: Protien shakes,Powder protien,whey
A protein shake is fine post-cardio, but the ratios largely depend on the specifics of your workout. How far? At what speed? Did you perform sprints? Etc. Unless a high amount of sprinting was done a regular meal that replenishes glycogen levels will suffice.

Re: Prep Baseball Report
PBR doesnt hide the fact about their relationship with top tier/MVP ..Its a known fact . Your comments suggested that their relationship with top tier and how they rate/ rank /list players or however you want to phrase it, is somehow connected to it . You believe that PBR is biased ...you said it yourself . Im asking you what evidence do you have of this ? Pretty simple question . If you are going to come on the board and make unfounded accusations , you need to back it up with something.

Re: Importance of HS Stats
wvmtner, agreed. My son had a .480 batting average in the fall and a batting average of over .600 in the first third of his high school season, but then went into a huge slump for a number of weeks which brought his average down to .270. Toward the end of the season, our son shared that we as parents (and even his batting instructor) were unwittingly putting pressure on him to perform, and he was self-destructing as a result. We totally let up, got him a new bat, and told him he had a new,...
